We decided to go to Idaho over the Labor Day holiday. Rexburg, the town where Josh lives and is going to school, is only 2.5 hours from Grand Teton National Park and 1.5 hours from Yellowstone National Park. We drove up to Rexburg (which is just over three hours from our home) on Friday afternoon, and then on Saturday, we went to Grand Teton National Park, which none of us had ever been to. It is a beautiful park, and while it was a bit crowded for the long weekend, we enjoyed the beauty it had to offer. Here are some pictures of the day we spent in Grand Teton National Park.
It was hot the day we were at Grand Teton, and there were a lot of other people enjoying the park over the long holiday weekend. We hoped to do a bit more hiking, but will have to save some of the trails we wanted to explore for another time. We are grateful that we were able to enjoy this wonderful place, even it only for a few hours. We also went to Yellowstone National Park on this trip and I will share pictures of that in my next post.
