Friday morning, on my way to school, I just had to pull over to the side of the road and take a picture of this amazing sunrise. It was gorgeous and felt like a message from God reminding me of all the good in the world, especially during a really weird and crazy time for our nation and the world.
Friday evening, there was a beautiful sunset- another hopeful message of all that is lovely and good in the world.
We sold our old Corolla Friday afternoon. Charly met the new owner at the bank Friday afternoon to complete the transaction. Charly felt like we sold it to someone who was really in need. This little car served our family well and hopefully will now help someone else who needs reliable transportation.
I received an early birthday gift from my oldest sister who lives in New York State, not too far from my blogging friend Faith over at Gold in the Clouds. My sister knows I love wind chimes. She likes them too.
Saturday morning, I enjoyed pumpkin spice breakfast cookies and razzleberries (a combination of blue, black and raspberries) with some extra-creamy Reddi Wip on top. After breakfast, I made a quick run to Walmart for a few things. I was home by about 10 a.m..
Our oldest son, Alex, and his wife, Jess, have birthdays next week, so I got their birthday cards ready and in the mail. I also ordered Amazon gift cards for both of them. One of our sons-in-law had a birthday on Friday, and he also got a birthday card and Amazon gift card. Next Tuesday is Charly's birthday, my birthday is next Friday, and our youngest granddaughter, little Hattie, will be two near the end of the month. October is a big birthday month for our family.
This was Conference Weekend for the church we belong to - The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We watched several hours of uplifting and inspired messages, and beautiful worship music both Saturday and Sunday. It was positive and peaceful.
Of course Charly and I did our usual walks. The temperatures were lovely and the trees along our route are putting on more and more of an autumn display every day.
